contra entry come in 3 ways.
example: customer deposit in bank it is a contra entry,
customer with draw from bank it is a contra entry,
customer deposit self it is also contra entry,
journal entries for dis 3 r same.

cash to bank or bank to cash is contra entry.So definitely cash and bank account will get affected. In most of the account bank and cash comes so it also affect that account also simple. like trial balance , balance sheet etc.
