What is Active Directory Domains & Trust?
Answer / s.m.feroz ahmed
Hi,
If we install AD on a standalone system that system is
considered as primary Domain and it is assigned a name
with .com and other systems in the network are connected to
this PDC (Primary Domain Controller)and they are called as
BDC.
Once we install AD we will find a tab in start----programs -
---AdminTools-----User Manager for Domain Controllers where
one can create a list of users in network and can assign
privileges,quota,profiles ,home directory .
Trust is one more relationship in AD there are 2 types of
trust they are trusting and trusted in AD.Trusting
relationship indicates when a system in network is added to
domain controller then it is called as trusting
relationship and trusted relationship refers to when a
system is completely added to domain controller.
