HI a Cisco switch will have a maximum of 48 ports in one
slot. Also it depends on the model of the switch. In
certain switches additional modules can be added(ex: 6500
series) whereas in certain it cannot be added (ex: 2960)

Hi,

Switch is a HardWare device which can support a minimum of
32 ports and maximum of 128 port switch .Switch is a
configuring device with a console port for
configuration .where one can configure switch in such a
manner that permit and deny access is possible by
configuring switch.

Cisco switch is good in using.
