I am working in sbi as assistant(cash & accounts) for past
1year... My increment is due and salary will be around Rs
9800 approx. My current salary is

+ HOUSE RENT ALLOWANCE(don’t laugh)-- 290.40
+ Special Area allowance -- 80
+ Transport allowance -- 105

and when I joined it was around 7400 approx adding
everything up, but don’t 4get to minus the amount you have
to pay from the pocket if you sit in cash counter and
mistakenly pay more to a customer or receive a fake note
when u receive cash; correct from your POCKET but don’t
worry training will be there but not on detecting fake notes
or how cbs works but on how to be a good sbi citizen… You
must have seen CITIZEN SBI posters in your nearest sbi
branch… In the training its taught how you feel good to
serve a customer even if the bank closes and you can make
him/her smile by working after 4pm but in reality under NI
ACT if something goes wrong you are at fault, here I am
talking about lakhs and crores of rupees transactions so you
might get the picture what I am talking about…
If you are thinking about promotions through internal mean
& if you are not sc/st or obc itz better you get through
p.o exam… coz competition is tough and amount of work
pressure wont let you prepare properly for the exam… I was
born n brought up in a semi urban capital state & posted in
a tribal disturbed area... the Human Resource Dept of sbi is
the most corrupted dept u can ever find in this world. From
the time I had joined I am hearing abt pay revision but till
now there is none. The union leaders are more corrupted than
the politicians running this country, our asst manager jmgs1
is also planning to quit along with many other senior staff.
I have already applied for other jobs if i get through i
will even close my sbi account. If u have good friends
working in sbi ask their opinion they will tel you the
truth. SBI is dying a slow death see QoQ result it lodged
8.4% decline in profit. For reference visit google and type
sbi wage revision and sbi profit as on jan 25,2010. To sum
up you get respect from people esp. from your family members
and friends… but that’s the end of the story… money and
peace at workplace keeps the world running and a job
interesting which is definitely missing in this gr8
corrupted and inefficient organization called THE STATE BANK
OF INDIA…. Final tip – if you are a simple graduate and
don’t have any job or not studying just wasting time… join
it work 4 1 year and jump 2 another job… u get d work ex… d

hie again this is rashmi rana, can sumone please suggest me a thing,i had my obc certificate of my state,i didn't know that there is another obc certificate which counts as central's..., now i filled my sbi form as obc category,n i got selected for the interview,now they have asked for the central's obc certificate,which i cant make cause,my community comes under obc in my state only, but in centre we are general category.., so what will happen now, please tell me.what will b the consequences..... please,i have two days to go to my interview.... please sumone....

I am not clear about the nature of the job....Hello, I have cleared the clerical interview. I am still confused about the nature of the job. I am not at all comfortable in working in a call-centre like environement and to work in shifts.But when in the job advertisement,it was there that the employee is required to make calls to customers,work in sfits and do travel. Clarifications please....
