Direct taxes are those taxes are those which needs to be
paid by the person who ultimately bears it. Income Tax,
Wealth Tax, Gifte Tax, etc. are the example.
Indirect taxes are those which are levied by the government
and collected from some who is not the ultmate bearer of the
tax burden. Sales (VAT), Central Excise, Customs Duty, etc.,
are the examples. To elaborate VAT or Excise Duty are
payable by an business entity on its products to the
government, but it collects these taxes from the buyers of
these goods through Tax Invoice (Sales Bill).

direct texes is that kind of taxes which being paid by a
person on his actual income directly like income tex. and
inderect texes is that kind of taxes which a person have to
pay indirectly like sales tex, vat etc.

Direct tax means a tax on the direct income of a person.
A person can not pass on the burden of Payment of tax to
other party. whereas a tax which can be pass on to other
party is called as Indirect tax.
in short, tax which cannot be transferred to other is
called Direct tax and which can be transferred is called
Indirect Tax.

THE SAME PERSON AND HE/SHE HAS TO BEAR IT. EX-INCOME
TAX,WEALTH TAX,GIFT TAX ETC,
ON THE CONTRARY, INDIRECT TAX ARE THOSE WHOSE BURDEN IS
NOT FALL DIRECTLY ON A PERSON.EX- SALES TAX.

The Depreciation Rate for Heavy Equipments like cranes (used in the construction of bridges, flyovers etc ... ) is 30% as per the companies act. If i buy a crane for Rs. 10 Lakh and claim depreciation the cost of the crane in the 2nd year is 7 Lakh and in the 3rd year it is 4.9 Lakh and in the 4th year it is 3.4 Lakh ...... Can i re-value the crane in the 5th year to the 2nd hand market price of Rs. 20 Lakh and claim depreciation on it @ 30% ? (Cost of crane in 6th Year now is 20 Lakh - 6 Lakh = 14 Lakh )
Dear All, We are a trader and doing one E-1 sales. Supplier send the material by To-pay basis, we endorse the LR and sold to Customer. Customer has given the purchase order for Basic amount and freight amount also. That means we have to pay the freight and getting the reimbursement from customer. In E-1 sales Invoice can we show the freight amount separtely as freight ? Since the customer need the freight head should be shown separetly. Or can we raise the separate debit note for this.
