calibration - it is a demonstration method , provides corrections required to make the logger accurate. it is a comparison with a standard or reference resulting in determined corrections and uncertainties.
normally we ask - is it accurate ?
validation - a validation process ensures that the components of a system function together to meet pre-determined acceptance criteria. it is a documented program.
we ask - is it working correctly ?
