for a 132/33kv transformer secondary is star and is
connected to NER. and from secondary a cable is running to
33kv swbd. since the cable is single core do i have to run
neutral cable also to 33kv swbd.???

It is not necessary to run a neutral cable as the same is
not requried for a 33 kV 3 wire AC system. But you need to
be cautious about the circulating/eddy current (since in
is a single core cable) which flows through the screen of
the 33kV cable. The voltage genrated by the circulating
current should be more than 130 V as per IEC standards. In
case of heavy circulating current the cable would get
heated up. You may do earthing of the cable only at one end
and leave it open at the other end. In case of a very long
cable with joints in between, mid point bonding is
suggested.
