What is eXtreme methodolgy ?

Answer Posted / anumula

->XP is an agile engineering methodology, focused on
delivering usable software iteratively in projects that are
expected to change as time goes on. XP is geared toward
integrating new requirements as they become known, and
ensuring that the quality of the new code written to fulfill
those requirements remains high.

->Its an Agile process,hence development is done in
iterations,where each iteration is a productive piece of
usable code
->where the tasks in these iteration are decided by the
developer depending on the features or functionality
client/customer wanted for release in this iteration.
->iteration is 2-4 weeks duration.
->Testing is given more importance.

->Main difference i saw in comparision to SCRUM
XP duration is 2-4 weeks and flexible, in the sense if a
task/s are incomplete can extend the iteration duration
until all tasks are finished, whereas in scrum its freezed
and uncompleted tasks are added to next iteration.
