Question { DRJ ARDE, 8826 }

How single phase & 3 phase motor select rotating direction
ie clockwise/anticlockwise

Answer

i think the direction of rotation depends on the phase
sequence that you are fedding to the winding terminals...

i.e if it is R,Y,B----- clockwise
R,B,Y------anti-clockwise

Is This Answer Correct ?    9 Yes 2 No

Question { 4368 }

An AC Motor to give DC supply what happen the motor.whats
the problem are create.

Answer

i think there is no formation of rotating magnetic filux
as there is no formation of this.....
the poles that are formed are stationary one....
coming to the type of a.c machines there are 2 types
1.induction type
2.synchronous type

in 1 type the formation of torque is only beacuse of
induction principle which will only possible with the a.c
supply... hence there is no rotation of shaft

in 2 type we give the d.c supply to the rotor hence there
is a interlocking between rotor mmf and armature mmf
hence there is also no rotation of rotor

Is This Answer Correct ?    6 Yes 2 No

Question { 4286 }

what type of motor are there in megger how they work.

Answer

I think There are generally use D.C motors beacuse of their
simpile in structure

Is This Answer Correct ?    2 Yes 1 No

Question { 47182 }

Why transformer neutral earthing? What is advantages?

Answer

as we all know that the distibution transformer has an
different loads on each phase even though we are try to
balance them there is no such an ideal case that each
transformer is ideally loaded....
in this scenario as the output of the transformer is star
connected there is a possibility to have a nutral current
in it if we not connect it to the ground then there is a
possibility to flow reverse current in the neutral which is
a very much problem...

i think this is the reason.....

Question { Bhel, 10610 }

Bhel supervision exam question:
If 2 generators are working in a network. And if suddenly the
field of anyone generator weakens. What will happen in the network?
1. The generator will run as motor
2. The generator will run as motor in reverse direction
3. The generator will take lighter load
4. The generator will take more load

Answer

the generator will run as motor beacuse as the field is
weakened the e.m.f devoloped is reduced across it
beacuse of this potential difference there exists a
circulating currents

Hence the resultant is absorbing power of generator

Is This Answer Correct ?    17 Yes 7 No
