Question { 19454 }

what is the binary value of loop back address

Answer

As we everybody know.. Loop back address is

127.0.0.0 (Entire network address)

Here -

First Octate - 127

Second Octate - 0

Third Octate - 0

Forth Octate - 0

Convert those in binary - Using (128 64 32 16 8 4 2 1) code....

First Octate - 0 1 1 1 1 1 1 1
Second Octate - 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0
Thirde Octate - 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0
Fourth Octate - 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0

So binary add of loopback address -

01111111 00000000 00000000 00000000

Note:

0 : Zero designate the corresponding decimal code value zero.

1 : One designate the corresponding decimal code value that
decimal number.

Question { 19454 }

what is the binary value of loop back address

Answer

Hi.. J... R u serious??? Is it a wrong one..???

Is This Answer Correct ?    1 Yes 1 No

Question { 19454 }

what is the binary value of loop back address

Answer

How cud u say binary value of 1st octate, coz we know IP
address consist of four octate, each of 8 bits.

XXXXXXXX.XXXXXXXX.XXXXXXXX.XXXXXXXX

I don't think it wud be a justified answer if we say "7".
coz he is nt asking the binary bit of first octate. so we hv
to take or assume the conventional 4 octate criteria.

Hi.. Jitendera, this may open up some more question.

Question { 7099 }

what is the boot seqance of cisco router

Answer

Default boot sequence for Cisco IOS software:

1. NVRAM
2. Flash (Sequentail)
3. TFTP (Network Boot)
4. ROM (partial IOS)

Cisco routers can boot Cisco IOS software from these locations:

1. Flash memory
2. TFTP server
3. ROM (not full Cisco IOS)

Is This Answer Correct ?    4 Yes 0 No

Question { 7099 }

what is the boot seqance of cisco router

Answer

Hi Jitendera,

When the router boots, it looks for the boot command stored
in NVRAM which is By default "boot system flash" means boot
from flash

then the router loads the IOS from flash.

If it is unable to load IOS from Flash, then it goes for
TFTP server then ROM etc

So during boot, Router goes to -

NVRAM > Flash > TFTP > ROM.

I think i made it clear.

Question { 3232 }

what is used for passive intercae comand

mine answer-to prevent to take update from outside

Answer

No dude... little bit different.

Passive interface command is used to control the
advertisement of routing information.

Most of the routing protocol, PASSIVE INTERFACE command
restrict outgoing advertisements only. But the case is
little bit different in EIGRP. In EIGRP, when PASSIVE
INTERFACE command is enable between two routers, it not only
suppressing routing updates but also HELLO MESSAGES also. In
result, router also lost the neighbor relationship with
router. So it also suppress the incoming updates also.

Hope it'll help u people. Let me know my feedback..!!!

Thanx dude for such a good question. Keep posting.

Question { 3845 }

Write out a config to permit only the below MAC address
to pass traffic through a port on your switch.

in another way writhe a confrigation which permit only mac
address trfaic through a port of your switch

Answer

Using port security feature of Cisco switch, we can fix a
particular mac add for a fix port.

Switch(config-if)#switchport port-security maximum 1
Switch(config-if)#switchport port-security mac-address
0005.1b00.5b58
Switch(config-if)#switchport port-security violation
shutdown

[SwitchA] (Port no 0/1)
!
!
!
!
!
[PC] (0005.1b00.5b58)

Suppose u hv one switch (ie Switch A). On that,port number
fa 0/1 is connected to PC Which is having mac address
0005.1b00.5b58 . Now u want to allow the mac address of
this PC (0005.1b00.5b58), can only access throgh this port
ie fa 0/1. If any other device attach to this port it will
not work. That means security violation occuring here. So
we also protect this by configuring

"switchport port-security violation shutdown" command.

Hope JITU, this may help u to understand this topic. Give
ur feedback.
