Question { 36726 }

What do you like and dislike about the sales process and
why?

Answer

The best thing I like about sales process is the
convienience it has provided to customers the
innovativeness and creativity with which we identify what
is or might bother the customer and taking utmost care of
not troubling or harassing them but what i dislike about it
is selling without thinking, just trying to meet targets
without thinking that in the process we are forcing our
product on the customer without analysing his needs and
suits.

Question { 6608 }

Describe a situation with a client or prospect where you
made a mistake. How did you handle the error?

Answer

On my first ever visit to a customer I was not prepared
enough for his questions, He kept asking and I had no
answers leave alone convincing I could not even tell him
what exactly my offer was. What I did was told him clearly
that the question he has raised are valid and I need to
look into the offer to tell him exactly how he will be
benefited.I took next appointment and left his office. I
went to my boss and discussed it with him, together we did
all the calculations and revised the offer. This time I
went to the customer and asked with a smile to listen to me
first and keep quiet becuase his fast speech makes me
nervous and I dont want him to miss such a wonderful offer
he and his wife smiled at me and listened quietely the
offer was good and tailormade for them. He gave me the
order. U can call it luck but i call it sharing the truth.

Question { 3987 }

What are the techniques you used to handle objections?

Answer

While handling objections I put myself in customers shoes
it gives me the clear idea whether he has a valid objection
or not this helps in understanding him, if the point is
valid I can find what exactly he is looking for and if it
is invalid I can think why is he trying to escape. It is
always better to listen to the objections rather than
bragging about the product.

Question { Times Of India, 13185 }

How will you justify your Cost to Company?

Answer

Its an interesting question,Thanks Vaibhav for sharing it
with us. I think I would answer it something like this:
The main components of ones' package are

Basic salary:which decided upon ones' educational
quaification.hence this part can be justified with what the
industry standards to that degree.

Maintenance allowance and HRA: this is to keep your
lifestyle and living standard upto the mark of the company
sice you are its ambassador.

Conveyance allowance: will take care of your movements so
that you can reach with the best of you for all the
meetings.

Medical allowance is ofcourse to keep the best of the
health so that you dont have to take SL.

PF is to fulfill legal norms.

Insurances, gratuity etc. are to make you feel secure so
that you can concentrate on work rathe than thinking of you
children's future.

Bonus and other incentives are the loyalty charges to keep
you motivated and with the company.

and their are few other allowances which are given to
increase your CTC more than others if you are experienced
hence that goes to the experiuence account.

So with this you can tell how all the components
justifiable andshould be given because you deserve it.

Question { MAHINDRA, 12051 }

What do you see as the key skills in closing? Explain your
closing technique. Explain some ways you create a sense of
urgency to close the sale?

Answer

The key skill of closing is patience, the excitement of
success can make the salesmen nervous, unattentive to
customers queries/doubts, forgetfull and hurried which will
leave the customer doubting him and the product both. While
closing any sale, I solve all the postpurchase queries of
the customer to best of my knowledge and confirmity, if
customer arises any point which is presently not taken care
by us but should be, I make sure i encorporate it in our
system. Tell him how and in what cases we will be providing
him after sale services. Will give him all the details of
contacts he might need and the feedback system we follow
and whom to contact if he faces any trouble with any person
or product of the company, this will make him feel secure
and the company trustworthy. Closing is very important in
one time purchase itmes or services but these are the
customers who once satisfied will never leave and hence
utmost clarity and transparency should be taken becuase you
cant befool the customer and if you are sucessfull in doing
it for first time you cannot estimate the harm he will do
to the brand once he realises it.
The way you create sense of urgency is by being fast in the
closing process, ignoring customers queries.this leaves the
cutomer under the impression of being forced to buy or
mistrusting the brand since he feels you are hiding
something from him.

Question { 8162 }

Give a relationship between concept, Hypothesis and Theory.
What are the Salient features and classifications?

Answer

Concept is a general idea derived from specific instances
it is just an idea and may or may not want worldwide
acceptance , it is yours and with you. But when you want it
to be accepted you state it, you want it to be verified
since you know it will answer many facts then it becomes
hypothesis and once your hypothesis survives experimental
testing it becomes theory to be followed. Salient features
are the characteristics or specialities while
classification is distribution in terms of some categories
or class.

Question { Hindustan Unilever Limited, 15036 }

Suppose i am a nirma surf retailer and you are from wheel
Active surf, now sell wheel active to me.

Answer

My answer might sound wierd but once I know that the
retailer does not keep Wheel Active what I will do is "I
will send few of my lady friends (one by one) to the shop
and ask him for wheel active and since he does not have it
they will come out without buying anything(the ladies will
be directed to do so ofcourse)repeat the exercise for say
three days and then I will go to the retailer with the
product, by now he knows that there are people coming to
him with its demand, backed my sales skills and a few
lucrative offers he will definetely get ready to keep the
product on his shelf. But ofcourse this is a short term
solution which will take the product to retilers shelf but
to take it to customers house and make the retailer buy it
more and everytime, quality of the product, advertisements,
new offers and definetely demand in that particular area
will be the key elements".

Answer

Marketing is as vast as ocean, with the competitive market
the arena of marketing is growing to newer dimensions.
Marketing activities are very much industry, company,
product and market specific hence generalising marketing is
one of the biggest mistakes many people and companies does.
Any profile in marketing can be best suiting the skills and
interests the person posess like profile of market research
will suit to a person having good analytical skills, urge
to get into details, empathy and interest to work in
different cases.Similarly, creative person interested in
finding and applying innovative ideas would fit in
advertising. But ofcourse if we talk about marketing in
general the best profile would be which gives you exposure
about the market, lets you deal directly with the customers
so that you can understand market demands. Gives you
