Hi,
Can anyone tell me about the H1B 2009 quota selection
result. Have any of you received the selection receipt, if
so till what time this will come. If rejected do they send
back the petition filed immediately or it will take longer.
And what is the duration to know whether you got selected
for H1B.
Guys any one Pl.throw some light on this.

I got selected last april and i just received a call
yesterday from my lawyer telling me that my application was
approved. i am just awaiting the approval notice that the
INS sent me.

hi i m dipesh and i got my h1 b approval....
sometimes the status shows u its pending but its already
been approved so please contact yr employer he might have
got some updates coz in my case it happend that i saw my
case pending but on the other hand my case was approved

hi, my cousin got selected in lottery for H1Bvisa... she
got the information after 2months of submitting of
application........ rest of the things we dont know.....

My certificates(10+2 onwards) are having the Surname of my parents mentioned but my Passport(which was made based on 10th certificate where even my name was without surname and I made it after changing my name adding the surname) is not having the surname of my parents mentioned. My question is, will it be a problem for me when I apply the H1B visa? I do have the US B1 visa. Now, If I change my passport for the correction, will I have to change anything else apart from the Passport as well? Please reply me on jp1985verma@yahoo.co.in

Hi All, I have attended for H1 yesterday. Interviewer was not happy with the project desc and asked for more documents mostly abt company profile and complete desc.she asked me to drop them in the drop box.but she said not to drop the passport. can anyone let me know what happens next. shall i consider it as lost as she didnt asked for passport? or after checking the documents will i be asked to appear again if she is ok with the docs? or how is it gonna be? I had my H1-B visa interview today (29th October 2009), my interview went well however i was sent back with my passport and 221g form saying my title did not show up in their system and as soon as it does i have to submit my passport to get my visa stamped. Has anyone come a/c with this kind of issue??
My wife has gone on H1B visa in November. Now I have applied for H4. In case they ask why I din't go along with her what should be my reply?
