At 11.00 AM we have 2.25 inches rain on the ground.
If it rained 1.25 for evry two hour, it should be 3.75
inches for 6 hours (Between 11.00 AM to 5.00 PM)
So Totally at 5.00 PM. We have 2.25+3.75 =6.00 inches of
rain on the ground

7 to 11 =4 hours=2.25
11 to 3 =4 hours=2.25+2.50(1.25+1.25)=4.75

7am to 11am the ground level 2.25
after every two hr increased by 1.25
i.e 11-1pm increased by 2.25+(1.25+2.25)
1-3pm inc.by 2.25+3.5+(1.25+3.5)
3-5 2.25+3.5+4.75+(1.25+4.75)
The Ans is 2.25+3.5+4.75+6=16.5
