Let x = no. hrs a day to do the same job (assuming in 20 days)
40 * 20 * x = 5400
800 x = 5400
x = 5400% 800
x = 6.75 hrs a day for 20 days to do the same job

30 men takes 20 days & 9 hour to complete 1 job
(Here days constant, only hour is asked)
So 30 men, Each day 9 hour, 20 days =9*20=180 hrs
Den 1 men takes 180*30=5400 hrs
Therefore 40 men will take 5400/40=135hours in 20 days
=135/20=6.75 hours each day
Answer is c (approximately 7 hour)

=27/4
