What is the difference between access path and open data path?

Answer Posted / Brahmanand Thakur

In DB400, Access Path (APATH) is a method for opening files using a physical file name, while Open Data Path (ODP) is a method that opens files based on their logical file name. APATH is useful when you need to open multiple files with the same structure, and ODP is used when working with sequential files with varying structures.
