Why methanol & acetonitrile is mostly used for hplc analysis?
Answer Posted / ankur dwivedi
Most substances are easily soluble in these solvents. They have lower absorbance in routine HPLC working range (205-400 nm). Hence no interference will be there due to these solvents.
Due to less density, they create less pressure in column and hence the column life can be improved.
