why linerity not use in GC but use in HPLC ?

Answer Posted / sandip bhasme

If you are taking % area of a componant; there is no need to
take linearity in GC, But if you have to compare standard
against sample, you need to check linearity for GC also. eg.
if you are analyzing a gas sample on FID OR TCD detector,
your detector response must be linear.
