i have 2 motor of same rating. on no load condition one
motor take 1.6A but other motor is taking 4.8A. what is the
reason of this. please explain with proof.

OK. It is right that in star motor taking 1.6A & in delta
motor is taking 4.8A. but Please prove this with example.
Suppose both motors are new .

Is a contactor (or master relay) required between incoming lines and a VFD? The question goes to safety. If a contactor were used before the VFD and an e-stop engaged then the motor will coast to a stop (i.e. VFD loses power) instead of stopping much faster if the VFD braking fucntion were used.
