Why we are using only KBr in IR spectrometer why not KCl

KBr could not have any absorbance in IR range,but Kcl have
absorbance and itis easily miscible with other samples for
analysis it is cheep and best available in market

In BP2013, Loperamid HCl monograph. Assay by titration with 0.1N sodium hydroxide using hydrocloric acid 0.01N and reading the volume added between the 2 points of inflexion.
