difference between IR & NMR spectroscopy ?

Answer Posted / mr.bujji reddy kanchi

Interaction of light with matter to know the properties of
the substance is called spectroscopy.

IR: to know the functional groups.
NMR: to know the structural elucidation. mainly used in
diagnosis and drugs.
A key feature of NMR is that the resonance frequency of a
particular substance is directly proportional to the
strength of the applied magnetic field
