Catalysts are the substances/ compounds which accelerates or
suppress the rate of chemical reaction without undergoing
permanent changes.
Two types of catalysts are there
(1) homogeneous catalysts, i.e. soluble in reaction medium
(2) heterogeneous catalyst i.e. insoluble in reaction medium
