In satellitism mainly used for the H.influenzae the
oraganism to be detectd is grown along with the S.aureus
that siupplies the necessary heamin and the NAD factor
commonly called as the X and V factors.This test nowdays
have been modified for the species differentiation between
the H.influenzae and H.parainfluenzae.
