Why only Water & Sodium Tatrate Is Use For THe Calibration
Of Karl Fischer Titrator?
Answer Posted / nagaraju chittela
The karl Fishcer has to standardized to check the
concentration of it, i.e how many milli grams of water can
neutralize against ml of reagent(mg of water/ml of KF
reagent).
Pure water can be used and disodium tartrate dihydrate also
can be used.
Weighing of water at mg leveliss is difficult(By using
modern analytical balances it is possible).
But if we take disodium tartrate dihydrate, we can weigh
good quantity of weight, as water is part of molecule.
