1.what is the role of proportional comtroller in pid
controller?2.How do u calibrate the control valve?
Answer Posted / krishna
proportion control function is to maintain constant offset
between set point and process variable .but it cannot remove
the offset. it makes the p.v to oscillate between high and
low limits.
There are two things required for calibrating control valve
1)pneumatic tester ( signal :0.2 to 1kg /cm2
)
2) air supply source according to design of valve.
initial for 0.2 kg.cm2 valve should be (open or close )
according to ATO ATC) )
THEN CHECK POSITION AT 25 50 75 100 % OF VALVE ACCORKING TO
SIGNAL TUNE WITH POSITIONER

We are using Rosemount 5400 series Radar Level Transmitters in all types of Sump Applications having oily water hdrocarbon petrochemical nature. What we are facing the problem frequently is that always getting reading frezzed at some value. If we do power recycling , sometimes it is working . then making same freezing problem. If anybody faced before such type of problem and also having solution , Please give the answer.
We Have Two Field bus Pressure Transmitters of Different Sensor Range (I.E One is of Lower range and Another is of Higher Range).Is same Process Line. My Question is Can i provide Saturation Limit to my field Bus Transmitter as We can provide Saturation current limit to HART Instruments. As During Low Pressure Both Working OK ,But During High Pressure, transmitter with Lower sensor range Goes to Fault mode as Beyond its Sensor Limit it can Measure, So may I provide Saturation point Some where to Suppress This Fault during High Pressure.
