Rest and motion:-A body is said to be at rest when it does
not change its position with respect to its surrounding
objects or when it dies not change its position with time
The body is said to be in motion when it changes its
position with respect to a fixed point or time. Rest and
motion are relative.
Speed:-The rate of change of position of a body is called
speed does not refer to any direction. It is measured by the
distance traveled per unit time
Velocity:- It is the rate of change of position in a
particular direction. It has both direction and magnitude.
It is measured by the distance traveled per unit time in a
given direction. Unit of the both speed and velocity are
expressed as cm.per second. ,m. per second .km/hr. or mile/hour.
