while climbing a hill we bend forward. give a scientific
reason for the same

An essential condition for standing under earth's gravity is
that the line denoting the direction of our weight(which is
a force) must intersect the ground in the area between our
our feet. Our centre of gravity lies somewhere near our
navel, through which the net force of attraction passes. If
you walk upwards a hill by being upright, our body is
basically inclined w.r.t the horizontal plane to an extent
such that the resultant force of gravity on our body
intersects the ground behind our feet. As a result, to
remain standing, we need to make force vector to intersect
the horizontal plane in between our feet. We do this by
bending our body forward.
(The principle is same as the case that we fall when bend
too much forward or backward.)

a bullet of mass m travelling at velocity v has a kinetic energy of ½mv2 when it strikes a ballistic pendulum of mass 1000 grams. The kinetic energy of the twomasses moving together just after the moment of impact is about a thousand times smaller than ½mv2. What has most of the bullets initial kinetic energy beenconverted to?
