for the years 2006 – 07 & 2007 – 08 by the Screening
Committee in
pursuance of the Department of Personnel & Training’s OM No.
2/8/2001-PIC dated 16.05.2001, the Competent Authority has
approved
abolition of 2499 posts, as detailed in Annexure –‘X’, in
Group ‘B’, ‘C’
and ‘D’ in the Income Tax Department and Directorates under
the CBDT.

that the Competent Authority has approved the filling up of

vacancies in the Group ‘B’, ‘C’ and ‘D’ during Recruitment
Year 2006-07
& 2007-08. The Charge/Directorate-wise/ Cadre-wise details
are given
in Annexure ‘A’. The Cadre Controlling Authorities are
requested to take
