many of the issues raised by foods resulting from genetic
modification are equally applicable to food produced by
conventional means.
techniques such as recombinant DNA technology permit the
transfer genetic material from on unrelated species.that's
why safty issues are being discussed here.
safty assesment provide aasurance that toxic and or
allergenic compounds are not transfered along with desired
trait when new DNA is introduced into an organism.
