Question { 14269 }

Thermocouple is a transducer but rtd is not transducer why?
Both taking heat as a input and giving mv

Answer

A transducer converts energy from one form to another
form.Thermocouple (itself) converts heat energy into
electrical energy. But RTD needs an external source to give
electrical output.so, RTD could not be considered as a
transducer.

Question { 5291 }

how do i calibrate mmwc pressure guage with out
calibrator.if any? pls give me the ans.

Answer

You need one water manometer,one T fitting and one flexible
rubber hose. Connect the hose,the manometer and the pressure
gauge to the T fitting without any leakage.
Blow air (by mouth)through hose till span (cross check at
water manometer) and fold the rubber hose. Adjust span setting.
Then drop the pressure by unfolding the hose and adjust for
zero.
Repeat process two or three times.
Now check for mid-range, if it is ok, then calibration is over.

Dear firends waiting for your valuable replay

Answer

The pressure in the open tank is Atmospheric pressure only. so no need to compensate the pressure at LP side. Just leave it (LP Side)to atmosphere.
