Question { MN Dastur, 58469 }

What is the meaning of maximum demand

Answer

Maximum demand:
CL*Demand foctor=demand load
Max demand load = sum of demand load*diversity factor
Example:
Unit1 CL-5kW De.f=.8, Dload=4kW
Unit 2 CL-7kW =.8 =5.6
lift 7.5 =.8 =6
total =15.6kW
apply div 65%(residence)
max demand load=10.14kW

Question { ACC, 172147 }

how to choose the cable rating for load (KW)? EXAMPLE.50KW load

Answer

Cable carring capasity is there.. we can get form cable
manufacturer...

for 50kW load,
current(I) = 50/(1.732*415*.8(p.f))
I = 28.75A
For 1.5Sqmm cable curent carring capasity = 20A in ground
2.5 = 27,
4 = 34,
6 = 43,
10 = 57,
16 = 73A like that.
now our load current is 28.75A
No.of cable with size =28.75/43A (6Sqmm)
= .6686/.7 (Diff factor)
=.955
there fore 1run 6 Sqmm aluminium cable we selected for 50
kW load.
