GUI TESTING:GUI means graphical user interface to test the
friendliness of the of that build.
here we testing for the images,object properties,weather
the screens are user understable or not,font
size,colour,button object properties.........

basically metrics is nothing but an mathematical number
shows a relation ship between two numbres.in testing there
are two types of metircs.
1.process metrics
2.product metrics

process metric: a metric used to measure the cheracteristic
of the methods,technique, and tools employed in
developing,imlementing,and maintaining the software system.

product metric:metric used to measure the characteristic of
the documentation and code.

some of the test metrics are:

1.user paticipation

2.path tested=number os paths tested/total number of paths

3.test cost= test cost Vs total system cost

4.cost to locate defect=test cost/No: of defects located i
n the testing

5.test automation=cost of manul test effort/total test cost

no time to test on all OS and Browseres.We have time to
execute atlest in one combination of OS and browser.Which
one do you prefer and why?

hi,

i prefere sanity testing .why because bu using we can test
for the testables like stability,operability,observabality,
maintaince of the particular functionality where it focuses
on only main functionlities of that os and browsers.

i think we cant go for the adhoc testing beacuse adoch
testing is totally a unorganized manner of testing to check
the stamina of the bulid.

UAT :User Acceptence Testing final stage of testing this
testing is done by the client at the developer site to test
weather that final bulid is meets the customer reqiremts
(or)satisfy the coustomer needs or not.they are two types
of UAT 1.Alpha Testing

1:Alpha testing is done by the customer at developer site
to know weather the final build is as per the requirement

2.Beta Testing:This testing is done by the end users at

incremental integartion testing :: here testing the
components either in an incremental order or decremental
order.
integration testing :: here testing the individual
components by integrating each other is called integartion
testing.

system testing :: testing the entire system(application)
testing both functional and non-functionalities of the
application.
functional testing::: testing the fuctionalities of the
system is called functional testing.

hai...........its not a bata testing its spell missed ist
beta testing.......
the diffrnec between the alpha testing and beta testing are
alpha testing is nothing but an user acceptance testing
done by the client at developement site..............beta
testing is aslo a user acceptance testing done by the end-
users at client site.sanity testing is nothing but an
system testing........here the testers test the basic
functinalites of the application to know weather the
application is applicable for futher testing or
not..........
