Yeah above answer is also right..
I would say like this.
There are 5 managed servers in a cluster.Then each managed
server will communicate each other with the help of
mutlicast ip.After every 3 sec heartbeat checks whethe
anothers are alive or not.If it is alive it says I am
alive.or else no response.Then the conclusion is that
perticular managed server is not alive.

We should tell on which unix/windows box the weblogic has
been installed.Version of Weblogic.Type of Web server?
(Iplant/Appache)
You can tell them how many unix/windows boxes are there in
ur environment.How many Applications are there in?
What domain it is?(Telecom/banking,etc)
Now come to weblogic part--
start 1 by 1....Admin server,manageed servers how many?
Are they in cluster?
What data base you are using?.....and so on....
