The metadbs in SVM follows the below principle

" The system will boot up if it finds
a) atleast 2 copies in good state &
b) 50% + 1 copies in good state"

Hence using the above principle

RAID5 : 3 disks minimum
3 copies minimum , each copy on each disk.
