regrding ur question on salary.. let me explain..
first i would like to tell that now the scale of pay is
changed with starting from 14500..
so when u join in a bank ur 1st basic pay will be 14500+
(40.80% of basic=DA)+(6.5% of basic = HRA)=salary in hand
till u are confirmed in banks service...after u complete ur
probabtion... 10% of ur basic will be contribution in to PF.

And regarding the figures u were telling... they give
something like 14500-600/7-18700-800/5....somethng of his
format... this means starting basic pay of 14500 then next
an increment of 600... till u receive 7 such increments...
after that on 18700.. after that 5 increments of 800 each
etc etc...

It is always given in the advertisement published by the
bank for the recruitment process.

Well u r right, they mention about the salary in the
advertisement.But that's only in a scale like 10,000-250-
230-18,000, Something like this format.
Do u have any ideas how to read those figures?
What I can understand that the basic will be 10K.
But inhand how much we ll get that i m asking.

if basic is 18000 we can easily get a take home of and
above 25000p.m. And FYI PO' have a basic of 18000 starting
ranging to 25000.

What is the salary of a bank PO and what about the allowances and incentives.Joining as scale-1 how much rank we can go in 10 years? I m in S/W field and curently getting around 30K monthly salary and my current project(Microsoft) is a very long term project, so there is stability in my position for next few years. I have to appear the Syndicate bank PO interview also now trying to give IT officer scale- II exams. But dont know anything abt bank salary and future growth. So can u guys plz provide any information abt this which may help others also in this Forum. Also banks r doing strikes for Salary hikes, Right?
