Say you are given 100% of a certain drug; for this drug to
go by (1/2)50%, it takes 12 min and the remaining 50% to go
by another 1/2 and become 25%, it takes another 12 min. So
if you add 12 min + 12 min you would get 24 min.

....12min (1/2 of the 100% to be absorbed)

.
....12min (1/2 of the 50% to be absorbed)
.
25% at this point the drug has been absorbed by 75%
