Hi,
Dns is service that map domain name to their ip address domain name are user friendly name that identife computer name instead of their ip address. it consist of two parts
1. hostname (that identified the computer on a network)
2. domain name ( that identified the domian name on a network
Suppose we take a example of kamal.example.com here is kamal is host name and example.com is a domain name, but when we combined a both h+d it called fqdn means fully qualified domain name
So dns is service which convert the domain name into an ip address when we entered the domain name into a browser it send the request to dns server if a particular server does not exists then it transfer to another server and the same process is going on.
Thanks

Dns - Means Domain Name System.
Advantages are:
1. DNS can be configured to allow dynamic secure updates,
enhancing the security of your DNS infrastructure.
2. DNS will be Active Directory integrated -- all the DCs
can update and replicate the DNS entries. This adds to
fault tolerance and lowers your management efforts to
maintain DNS.
