All scheduled banks are required to maintain a certain
proportion of their deposits with RBI is known as CRR


The interest rate given by RBI on low term loans to the
commercial banks is known as REPO rate


The rate that banks give on low term loans to RBI is known
as REVERSE REPO rate

crr is the portion of total deposits of the banks which
they need to park with rbi.
repo rate is the rate at which rbi injects money into the
economic system.
reverse repo rate at which the rbi withdraws money from
the economic system.kindly note that repo stands for re
purchase offer. this is happens through the purchase and
sell of securities respectively in the case of repo and
reverse repo respectively.

deposit a part their aggregate deposits with the central
banks namely RBI,they have to do it fortnightly and every
last Thursday on the fortnight basis,for crr and slr
maintainance baanks go into money market and take help of
intrumenst like call rate , repo and reverse repo to full
fill their obligation to maintain crr with rbi.

trust the people etc.

REPO RATE :Repo rate is a rate at which the RBI lends money
to the commercial banks.


REVERSE REPO RATE : Reverse repo rate is a rate at which
banks lend money to RBI.

Hi..I am Karan...I appeared for the Allahabad Bank PO exam recently on 21-02-2010...I have a small question... I missed to sign across the photograph on the call letter (but i have signed in the box under the photograph)..would this lead to disqualification of my candidature???

Hi , I have passed the IBPS CWE. I belongs to Muslim Minority and thought I would come under OBC category and I selected the same while applying for IBPS. Now Iam unable to get the OBC certicate. Iam not even able to edit the personal info. in the IBPS site. Now the banks may call me for an Interview under OBC category but I may not submit the OBC certificate at the time of Interview. Pls let me know how I can apply as an OC candidate.
