problem may be in RELAY / DNS lookup

It is bcoz u might haven't commented the line "block in
quick on eri0 proto tcp from any to any port=25" in the
/etc/ipf/ipf.conf file

The SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) is may not be run.
