dhcp is nothing but who can assign ip addresses to clients
in that network he is dhcpserver.And minium lease duration
is 8 days and maximum lease duration is 999 days 23 hours
and 59 minutes that's nothing but one minute less 1000 days

Well, Bydefault 8 Day's but it can be Min. 1 Day & Max. 999
Days 23 Hours & 59 Minutes.

Minimum days Lease for DHCP = 8 days
Maximum Days lease for DHCP = 999 days

DHCP stands for Dynamic Host Configure Protocol.
It is used to assign IP address to the clients.
DHCP has a option of reserver IP address for some client as
well.
It has a pool of Ip address which is used to Assign IP
address to the clients.
DHCP assigns Ip address on First come First serve Basis.
