The largest coal deposit available in India is in Damodar
River valley. Nearly 75% of Indian coal deposits are
located in this valley. The main areas where these deposits
are located are Ranikanj, Jharia, Giridh,Bokaro and
Karanpura.The largest lignite deposit is in Mannargudi,
