The two main types of process termination in an operating system are: 1. Normal Termination: When a process ends gracefully after completing its task or when it calls exit(). 2. Abnormal Termination (or forced termination): When the operating system forcibly stops a process due to certain conditions such as a segmentation fault, out of memory, etc.
