Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP) is a proprietary routing protocol developed by Cisco Systems. It combines aspects of distance-vector and link-state routing algorithms, making it efficient for large networks. EIGRP can run on other devices but works optimally only on Cisco routers.
