Yes,police checking is done for visa confirmation,as it is
mandatory,its to see if you have any criminal records.
checkin is generaly done by police data base,and they do
check personally,but no personal interview is done.its not
a hassel,if u dont have any records with the law.they give
you a letter stating that there is no criminal records
against you.that letter has to be submitted to the embassy
of the country you are applying the visa for....

A simple format is available with the passport office for
police verification. This is available in passport web
site. Apply in that proforma and you will normally get
within 3 days, if your passport is older. If your passport
is new and is one or two months old, you will get this
clearance certificate within a day. This applies to Indian
context

Passport police verfication is done during the process of
passport where the PCC is required during the process of
file.There may be some gap of time between this two.So,It is
required.PCC form is available on immmi.gov.au on this basis
u have to apply at distric level then they refer u to you ur
nearest police station.after this the destric police station
issue no criminal record cert.that u have to submit to
Passport office including all relevant documents.the process
thereafter over.

Points calculation that I am doing : Age : 30 Points (My age : 28) Qualification : 15 Points (For BCA MCA) Experience : 5 Points (After deducting 2 years by ACS, I will get 5 points) Spouse Qualification : 5 Points(For her BCA MCA and 2 years of experience in IT) State Sponsorship : 5Points Ilets score : 0 Points (my score S-6.5 W-6, R-7, L-7) Total Points : 60 First, Kindly confirm If the point calculation procedure is correct. And Second,will I be able to apply with this score or it is mandatory to score 7 in each module of Ilets exam.
