What are ip classes and how can you identify the ip class of given a ip address?
Answer / Nishant Pratap Singh
IP addresses are divided into five classes (A, B, C, D, and E), each with a different maximum number of host addresses. The first octet (byte) in an IPv4 address determines its class. Class A addresses range from 1 to 126, Class B addresses range from 128 to 191, Class C addresses range from 192 to 223, and Class D and E addresses are reserved for multicast and experimental purposes, respectively. To identify the IP class of a given IP address, check the first octet to determine its class.
