Suppose I have lost one of the application templates in visual studio 2010. It's available in the file system but not in visual studio... Any ideas?

You can manually recreate the missing application template using Visual Studio project templates (vsmt) editor or download it from a trusted source online. Make sure to place the .vstemplate file in the correct location: C:Program Files (x86)Microsoft Visual Studio 10.0Common7IDEItemTemplatesCSharpWinPhone[ProjectType]
