Answer is (e)
From the word STAINLESS we can observe that
1. No of letters between A and E i.e 3 (INL) which is
similar no of letters present in english alphabet
AINLE -----(1)

from 1 & 2 INL replaces BCD
2. No of letters between I and E are two in reality No of
letters present between I and e are 3 i.e FGH its not possible
so answer is (e)

s COUNT THE NEXT WORD IN THE ALPHABET AND THEN SEE THE GIVEN WORD ( IN ALPHABET T COMES AFTER s AND NW LOOK AT WORD GIVEN )IN THE GIVEN WORD ALSO T COMES AFTER S SO
COUNT IS 1
AND NEXT COUNT THE NEXT WORD IN ALPHABETS S->T->U BUT ITS NOT MATCHES IN THE GIVEN WORD SO COUNT IS STILL 1
