Explain the various types of registers?
Answer / Abhinav Pandey
There are several types of registers in a microprocessor. Accumulator is a general-purpose register that stores intermediate results during arithmetic and logical operations. Program counter (PC) holds the memory address of the next instruction to be executed. Stack pointer (SP) manages the stack, which stores temporary data or function call information. Index registers are used to access array elements or other data structures indirectly.
