Explain iso antigen?
Answer / Manju Lata
Isoantigens are antigens that induce an immune response between individuals of the same species, but differ slightly in their structure. Isoantigens are typically found on blood cells and other tissues and can lead to antibody production if introduced into the body. The most famous example is the ABO blood group system, where differences in the structure of carbohydrates on red blood cells determine blood types (A, B, AB, or O).
