What is the difference between spiders, robots and crawlers?
Answer / Shilpi Garg
In SEO, spiders, robots, and crawlers all refer to search engine bots that browse the web to find new content. However, 'spider' is a term mostly associated with Google, while 'robot' and 'crawler' are more generic terms used by other search engines. Essentially, they perform the same function: visiting websites, reading their content, and indexing them for search results.
