Why more redos are generated when the oracle database is in begin backup mode?..

Answer / Kailash Chandra Singh

More redo records are generated during a database backup in ARCHIVELOG mode to ensure that all changes made before and after the backup can be recovered in case of a failure. The increased generation of redo logs allows for consistent recovery of the database.
